Guam - Island veterans had the opportunity to meet with Guam Delegate Madeleine Bordallo on Sunday to voice their concerns with problems they've been running into with the services that are afforded to them for example burials for veterans with full military honors. One veteran said, "With the full military honors I went to a 30-year veteran funeral yesterday and there was no 21-gun salute because they didn't show up."

Veteran John Unpingco said, "We have a problem with the Navy - it's a long-simmering problem. The Navy has said that it has received the funding to do full military honors but yesterday came to a head because the Navy, what happens when the Navy can't do it the Army and or the Air Force do it in yesterday's instance the Army and the Air Force said we won't do it anymore because it is beginning to be a habit with the Navy, the Navy's just hoisting its obligation unto us. And we have tried to persuade the Navy to remedy the situation there always saying they haven't got the training or equipment or they've received funding but haven't scheduled."

The congresswoman said she would be writing to navy admiral to get to the bottom of what's going on.
