Guam - After experiencing some technical issues, Maeda Pacific Corporation started laying down the final course of pavement on Route 16 this morning. Department of Public Works deputy director Carl Dominguez tells KUAM News that the work, which continues through Wednesday, resulted in 150 tons of pavement being laid on the Barrigada road.

The contractors will then wait a week and a half to observe and test the asphalt and see if there is any evidence of bleeding. A number of DPW road projects are dependent on this final course of pavement.
