Teens arrested for rash of burglaries

Guam - Four teens, ages 15 thru 17, were arrested by GPD's Juvenile investigations section for their alleged involvement in a rash of burglaries and car thefts in the Barrigada area. The minors were confined at the Department of Youth Affairs and charged with multiple counts of burglary, 3 counts of theft of a motor vehicle, theft by threatening, conspiracy to commit theft, guilt established by complicity, beyond control and crimes against the community. Police also arrested the parents of two of the minors who are repeat offenders. 47 year old Iwae Niesik and 37 year old Akinina Ifi face charges of child abuse.
Authorities remind parents that they should be aware of their children's whereabouts at all times, and make sure they're where they should be.
