Guam - The world's oldest and most coveted beauty title is looking for young women who can represent the island at the 2012 Miss World Pageant in China.  Miss Guam World 2011 Siera Robertson recently represented the island and encourages more women to give it a try.

She told KUAM News, "And I know many girls probably feel there are many setbacks to being a beauty queen, that there's a specific type or look or stature. But I never thought that I'd ever be a beauty queen, and it's one of the most amazing things that's ever happened to me in my life. I know our island has many beautiful women here and we need to showcase that."

Interested ladies must be 17 to 24 years of age, unmarried with no children, a Guam resident, and must have a valid U.S. Passport. For an application contact Kaye Lea Custodio at 929-2284 or email missguamworld@yahoo.com. The Guam pageant is slated for April 27 at the Sheraton Laguna Guam Resort.
