Guam - Lujan's Salvage Yard and Towing Services has asked for an extension to complete topographic and boundary surveys. In the latest update filed with the District Court, the Guam Environmental Protection Agency reports that Lujan's has re-contracted W.B. Flores and Associates as their consultant and a follow-up inspection was conducted on January 20 and an inspection report is pending completion. The company was found to be running an illegal dump on their property and was ordered to come up with a disposal plan.
Meanwhile the agency is working to set up meetings with the owners of various lots that have illegal dumpsites on them in Nimitz Hill. The properties were returned to the original owner's families by the Ancestral Lands Commission.
