Guam - The Guam Memorial Hospital's board of trustees could possibly rethink its decision to terminate its payer agreement contract with TakeCare. That's according to GMH chief financial officer Siva Karrupan, who tells KUAM News that after meeting with TakeCare management this week to discuss how to resolve several issues between both parties, should they come back with ways to resolve such multi-faceted issues from changing its denial on utilization habits to reimbursements to pay for its bills, GMH management would be open to recommending to the board to reinstate its contract with TakeCare.

Senator Ben Pangelinan meanwhile has written Committee on Health chair Senator Dennis Rodriguez, Jr. to hold an oversight hearing with the GMH board to hear its reasoning behind the contract termination. Rodriguez says he is still reviewing the whole situation but is open to holding one.
