Pre-inspection reveals minor issues
Deputy Superintendent Robert Malay says the regulatory agencies even did a pre-inspection this morning.
Guam - The move to the interim Untalan Middle School campus is moving full speed ahead, as the Wildcats, along with the Department of Education, Core Tech and numerous volunteers, have helped move over half of the school from their Barrigada campus to Tiyan. Deputy Superintendent Robert Malay says the regulatory agencies even did a pre-inspection this morning.
"And we went through with the Department of Public Health, the Guam Fire Department and the Department of Public Works. There are very minor issues that need to be attended to between now and the opening of Untalan. In fact, Core Tech was already on top of a number of issues before I left our ten o'clock meeting this morning," said Malay.
Some of the minor issues include light fixtures missing covers and adding tags to installed fire extinguishers. Once those issues are resolved a follow-up inspection is expected to occur any day before the January 24 start date.
