Guam - Chamorro Affairs president Joseph Cameron says the deadline for interested vendors to respond to the request for proposal for the design of the Guam Museum is this week. He says the project is being funded via the Hotel Occupancy Bond. He says more than one million ancient Chamorro artifacts will be placed in the museum. He adds once a selection is made, then the design phase will take about 8 months before construction begins.

"It all depends on the design decisions that are made by the RFP specifications and the program management office of R.W. Armstrong," he explained.

He adds efforts are still underway to restore the Governor's Palace in Hagatna to serve as an additional repository that will house artifacts found during the military buildup.
