Guam - Department of Education officials are still working to make repairs to Untalan Middle School to allow for students to return to classes until they move to Tiyan. Students are enjoying a four-day weekend as classes were canceled for Friday after the Department of Public Health shut the campus down for having more than 50 demerits that were cited for various health and safety violations.

On Friday the Guam Fire Department issued a notice of hazard following an inspection of the Barrigada campus citing problems from leaks to electrical issues.

Officials have not said when the school will be ready for students to return to classes.
