Guam - FHP Health Center has achieved an important milestone, receiving accreditation for its CT scan services by the American College of Radiology. FHP Radiology Department manager Gerry Patricio says the accreditation validates the qualifications of their radiologists and professional staff and certifies the quality of the CT equipment.
The Medicare improvements for patients and providers act requires all providers of CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine that bill under Medicare Part "B" to be accredited by January 1, 2012.
