Guam - Eager to educate the public about Guam's traditional fishing practices, the Department of Agriculture is now issuing special permits for atulai and ti'ao up through January 20. The permit will allow fishermen to cast their hook-and-line, talaya, or purse seine nets within two marine preserve sites.

There are conditions that do apply when fishing at Achang Reef Flat and the Piti Bomb Holes in which conservation officers will patrol to enforce all laws. For detailed information contact the Merizo and Piti Mayor's Offices, or DOA.
