Guam - Officials from the Port Authority are appearing at the Legislature this evening, providing an update on its modernization plan and why the dirt hasn't turned. Senator Tom Ada has oversight over PAG, and said, "We need to hear from them; the community needs to hear from them. If we're not moving forward with the project, why? And who seems to be dragging their feet but we just need to get this program moving forward, and if it means having to coming in every 30 days to find out what progress has been made then that's what we'll continue to do."

He adds given the formalized position of several stakeholders calling for a balanced approach, its best to hear what progress has been made since the last info briefing held a few months ago. The Transportation Committee will hold other information briefings in the next coming weeks on the other agencies under its purview.

The briefing is happening now at the Public Hearing Room in Hagatna.
