Guam - Public Works will begin the next phase of pavement on Route 17 as tests on the initial section of pavement placed earlier this week yielded acceptable results of the job mix formula. Preliminary reports showed favorable results.

From 6 in the morning to 6 in the evening on Tuesday and Wednesday next week, the section of Route 17 near Route 4 will be paved. Traffic will be reduced to one lane during that time. On Thursday and Friday during those same times, placement of pavement will be from the area near the Mini-Camachile Tree Store proceeding in the direction toward Baza Gardens covering 1,000 feet of Route 17.

Drivers are asked to remain alert and heed the direction of construction personnel.
