Family describes Rinko Esetuk as "friendly"

Guam - While police have yet to make any arrests in the case, the family of 59-year-old Rinko Esetuk are mourning. Esetuk was struck by a Toyota Corolla along Route 16 on Monday night. Officials initially thought Esetuk had non life-threatening injuries; he died several hours later at the hospital.
His son-in-law, Espenso Haimin, says they weren't able to see Esetuk before he died and the family wasn't notified of his death until several hours later. "Everybody miss Rinko [sic], and that night the incident happen, we cannot even say goodbye because the reason GMH, the nurse, the security wouldn't allow any member of the family to go inside and see him," he said.
Haimin is working with Senator Dennis Rodriguez, Jr. to resolve the issue the family had at the hospital. Rosaries for Esetuk will begin nightly on January 2 at 7pm at the family's Dededo residence. Meantime police continue their investigation.
