Guam - Department of Education public school cafeterias may get their sanitary permits on Thursday. Public health environmental health specialist Marilou Bumagat says the permits were processed today.

DOE's food and nutrition contractor, Sodexo, has been providing meals to students since the start of the school year without sanitary permits. Public Health notes that the permits will cost Sodexo more than $10,000.

Meanwhile the company is waiting for Public Health to inspect John F. Kennedy High School's cafeteria so it can be turned over to them.
