Guam - While their school's air conditioning units are under repair, over 60 George Washington High School JROTC cadets are working to beautify their campus during Christmas Break. According to Cadet Sergeant First Class Aubriana Aflague, the service learning project includes waterblasting, bushcutting, and painting the Mangilao campus.
"We took the initiative to go out and organize a service learning project so we can help out school," she explained, "and so far its looking like a success. We couldn't believe that our school was actually this dirty."
It was just last week the school was inspected by the Department of Public Health and cited for overgrown vegetation.
