Purse snatcher busted in Tumon

Guam - 27-year-old Jerome Camacho Cruz didn't get far when he robbed a woman in Tumon on Christmas Eve. Police say he pushed the woman to the ground after he stole her purse. A group of individuals saw the suspect trying to flee and apprehended him. 

When police arrived Cruz tried to run away while handcuffed but was taken into custody.  According to court documents, Cruz admitted to police that he was under the influence of alcohol, and also smoked spice and crystal methamphetamine earlier that night. 

Cruz was arrested and charged with 3rd degree robbery and resisting arrest.
