Guam - Island roadwork continues through some of Guam's busiest villages. Here's your weekly RoadWatch report to help you navigate through some of the tougher spots.

Route 7A
Access to Route 7A from Martinez Lane is closed thru Wednesday Dec 30 in order to perform storm sewer installation.

Access to Route 7A from J.A. Camacho Street will be closed thru Wednesday Dec 30in order to perform storm sewer installation. A detour will be in place to route traffic to and from J.A. Camacho Street to Route 7A using Route 33.

Traffic in the construction area of Route 7A is limited to one way west bound from Route 8 to Route 4. Access to businesses and streets, except the aforementioned, along the Route 7A will remain open.

Motorists are asked to proceed with caution and pay strict attention to traffic control signs posted along the construction area.

Route 8/10/16 (Tri-Intersection)
All permanent lanes are open to traffic at the Tri Intersection and the traffic signal at Route 8A in front of Happy Mart. Motorists are cautioned that this area is still a construction zone and there will be intermittent lane closures as items within the right of way will still be under construction for the next several weeks.

Route 2 (Umatac)
Route 2 Cetti Bay Culvert
Route 2 along the Cetti Bay Culvert will be open to traffic on both lanes. Daytime lane reduction may occur for short periods of time due to moving equipment. Drivers traveling through this construction area are advised to use caution and observe all traffic control signs placed in advance of the lane closure including all warning, directional, speed and stop signs.

Route 2 Umatac Baseball Culvert
Motorists traveling through the Umatac Baseball culvert construction site are requested to reduce speed, observe all construction signs and to be aware of workers on the road shoulders.

Route 2 Cetti Rock Catchments Wall
Daytime traffic shifts and lane changes continue to be in effect for traffic traveling south of the Cetti Bay Culvert construction area. Drivers are urged to reduce their speed and change lanes when needed. Delays and increased travel time can be anticipated.

Route 2 Sella Bay Culvert
Route 2 traffic along the Sella Bay Culvert will be shifted to the northbound lane and shoulder. Drivers traveling through this construction area are advised to use caution and observe all traffic control signs placed in advance of the lane modifications including all warning, directional, speed and stop signs.

Route 17 (Talofofo)
Road construction continues at the intersection of Route 4 and Route 17. Drivers traveling through this area can anticipate shifting lanes, short one lane closures and brief delays.

Route 4 Togcha and Talofofo Bridges (Talofofo and Inarajan)
Drivers traveling on Route 4 at the Togcha and Talofofo Bridges are advised that traffic continues to be restricted to one lane. Temporary traffic signs are in place with timing monitored and adjusted to minimize delays. Increased travel time and short delays should be anticipated while driving through these areas.

Route 6A (Murray Road) Asan
Route 6A Murray Road remains closed while construction work is in progress. Drivers are advised to observe all construction, detour and road closure signs.

Route 4 Ylig Bridge (Yona)
Pile foundations on the permanent Ylig Bridge on Route 4 will continue to be installed this week.

Due to the proximity of piles to travel lanes, and vibrations generated from this work, intermittent traffic delays and lane closures will be required for the safety of motorists traveling in the area. The temporary bridge and detour is open to traffic with a posted 15 MPH speed limit. Motorists are requested to observe the posted speed limit and all construction signs.
