Guam - The New Year brings good news for the tourism industry. According to Guam Visitors Bureau general manager Joann Camacho, visitor arrivals are up and already 10 charter flights are set for 2012.

"I think our numbers are very, very promising looking upwards, and of course we're beginning the strategy at ways to promote to Russia," she said.

The Visitors Bureau is seeing an increase in visitors from Korea, Taiwan and China. Officials meanwhile are still waiting on word from the Department of Homeland Security on a pending request to include China in the Guam Visa Waiver Program.
