Guam - Former governor Carl Gutierrez is taking his lawsuit against the Guam Power Authority to the Guam Supreme Court. Gutierrez filed suit against the utility agency authority several years ago after GPA erected streetlights on his personal Dededo property.
The former chief executive has asked for approximately $100,000 for the two years the streetlights were on his land. The Superior Court found that Gutierrez was not entitled to any payment so the government official appealed to the Supreme Court that will hear oral arguments on Friday morning at 10:30.
