Nurses to focus on quality management

Guam - The Guam Nurses Association are set for their annual convention tomorrow at the Guam Reef Hotel from 7:30am to 5pm. According to executive director Glynis Almonte, tomorrow's convention will focus on quality management on Guam.

"One example of that is let's say a healthcare facility has a high incidence of infection, so what's the contributing factors for infection? 3026 maybe healthcare providers aren't washing their hands properly," she said.

Almonte says by improving shortcomings, nurses can drive the quality of the healthcare environment on island. Over 80 participants have pre-registered, many of which are University of Guam nursing students.
