Guam - The island's fundraising efforts for the annual American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event have been recognized on the national level. Relay for Life of Guam took first place honors for raising more than $399,000. It was the most money raised based on the population within the High Plains Division. 

Of the 677 events held across the country this year, Relay for Life of Guam ranked third overall.  Team Bankon Ifit of the Bank of Guam was also recognized for raising $51,000. The team ranked fifth among all teams in the division.
