Guam - For the first time since it was closed five years ago, the Guam Housing and Urban Renewal Authority opened the waiting list for those eligible for housing assistance to apply. Hundreds of people started lining up since Sunday. "We are extremely excited because the opening of the wait lists for all housing programs gives every single resident of Guam who may be eligible for housing assistance an opportunity to apply and be placed on the list. We will continue to keep the wait list open so that we can accurately gauge how many in our community require housing assistance and work towards eliminating homelessness on Guam," said GHURA Executive Director Marcel Camacho. Starting today from 8:00am to 5:00pm GHURA is accepting applications for the Section 8 and Public Housing Assistance Program.s
