Guam - It's been two months since the Ordot Dump's closure and assessments are being made to understand just how much impact the site has had on the surrounding environment. Guam Environmental Protection Agency administrator Ivan Quinata told KUAM News, "What we're trying to do is make a determination and try to delineate just what the extent of the footprint of the dump...we're still in an assessment phase; we don't expect to get any results until early next year."

Quinata says there are plans to cover the dump with a cap to prevent additional storm water from going into the waste.
