Guam - Two federal indictments were unsealed in the District Court on Friday.  Joseph A. Salas and Ann Marie Santos Toves face drug related charges in two separate indictments that were handed down back in September.  The cases were sealed, or kept private from the public, because authorities were still conducting investigations.

Salas is charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and attempted possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine. According to the indictment, Salas conspired with others between 2009 and July of this year to distribute more than 50 grams of the drug ice.  Toves is charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. She's accused of conspiring to distribute between 5 and 50 grams of crystal meth.

Both appeared in the District Court on Friday and pleaded not guilty to the charges.  Salas is scheduled to go to trial on January 10, 2012 while Toves is scheduled for trial on January 6, 2012.  Both defendants were released.
