Guam - An auto-pedestrian accident in Tamuning along Route 1 and Ypao Road this morning sent a woman to the Guam Memorial Hospital. Police say preliminary reports indicate the woman had no life-threatening injuries.

But an act of kindness performed by EMT certified staff from St. Joseph Medical Transport helped provide immediate care to the woman. Crew chief Brian Torres told KUAM News, "Realizing their duty to act they pulled over and got out and did basic assessment and saw injuries, they got base line vitals, put patient on c-collar just moments before GFD arrived."

The female victim was treated and discharged from the hospital.
