Guam - The Guam Fire Department now has six ambulances to respond to emergencies around the island with one on standby. All four of the Mercedes-Benz ambulances that are being leased by the government are now on the road.
The final unit was taken to the Dededo Fire Station this afternoon. The others are stationed at the Tamuning, Barrigada and Agat fire stations. The fire department is also going through the request for proposal process to purchase four new ambulances using Department of the Interior funding.
