Guam - Guam Fire Department Acting Fire Chief Joey San Nicolas will take the hot seat before lawmakers later this month. He is the fifth chief to be appointed to the position this year. Public safety oversight chair Senator Adolpho Palacios says San Nicolas' 18 months experience as the fire chief's aide as well as his time as an officer in the Guam National Guard is equivalent to the battalion chief requirement for the job.
The confirmation hearing will be held on November 15 at the Legislature's Public Hearing Room at 2pm.
