The Beach Bar and Grill Buys Local

(Tumon, Guam, November 3, 2011)   In a community effort to support and sustain Guam's farmers, more and more businesses, particularly the food industry, are using locally grown produce in their respective establishments. Crisp, hydroponically grown lettuce, fiery hot island peppers, aromatic herbs, fresh green onions, and delectable coconuts – these are just a few of the various locally grown produce available for Guam's hotels and restaurants and proudly featured in The Beach bar & grill's newest menu.

The Beach bar & grill is just one of the many businesses on island supporting the ‘Buy Local' program established not only to stir the local economy but also to reinforce the island's identity and permanently establish Guam's food reputation through the products and delicacies it offers. "We hope our participation in the ‘Buy Local' program through the use of fresh local produce in our menu items will encourage others to do so.  We receive many positive comments and our patrons love the taste," says Ernie Galito, Director of Business Development for Baldyga Group, the company that runs The Beach.
