Medical outreach planned for Gill-Baza residents

An event will include screenings for diabetes, hypertension and information sessions on the importance of hygiene, and the dangers of smoking and alcoholism.

Guam - A medical outreach has been planned for the residents of the Gill-Baza Subdivision in Yigo. The Filipino Community of Guam, the University of Santo Tomas Alumni Association and the Yigo Mayor's Office have facilitated the outreach, which will include screenings for diabetes, hypertension and information sessions on the importance of hygiene, and the dangers of smoking and alcoholism. 

At least ten doctors and nurses have committed to volunteer at the event and will provide consultations to residents there. The Filipino Community of Guam will also distribute school supplies to the children of the subdivision. The outreach will be held on Saturday, November 12 from 9 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon.
