Guam - Mateo Sardoma, Jr. is scheduled to appear in the Superior Court of Guam again this week for a magistrate's hearing. He faces a number of charges including kidnapping, felonious restraint, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm without an identification card and possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance.

He and Rudy Sablan are accused of kidnapping and torturing a handyman who Sardoma believed had stolen a pound of crystal methamphetamine from his home. Sardoma appeared in court last week but Attorney Curtis Van De Veld, sought a continuance on his behalf to retrieve all of the documents related to the case.

Another hearing is scheduled for Tuesday. Both men remain behind bars on $500,000 cash bail each.
