Guam - Christopher Woodrome remains behind bars pending a demand of extradition from the state of New Mexico. He was in court this morning before Judge James Canto to decide whether a judicial hearing would be held or whether he would waive extradition.

Woodrome was arrested on October 15 based on a warrant from New Mexico for kidnapping and rape. Prosecutor David Rivera says the Attorney General's Office is in constant communication with authorities in New Mexico on the case, adding that they are now waiting for a governor's warrant to proceed with the extradition process. The warrant is needed to confirm that Woodrome is in fact the man wanted in New Mexico.

Judge canto has set a status hearing for November 8 at 9am where all motions will be heard. This includes what the defense told the court that they intend to file a bail motion so that Woodrome could be released to a third-party custodian and remain under house arrest and allowing Woodrome to spend time with his family before he is picked up by New Mexico authorities.
