Guam - Recent violence within the FSM community on Guam has prompted Attorney General Leonardo Rapadas to take a closer look at why the crimes are occurring in the first place. Rapadas spoke at the Chamber's general membership meeting today, saying he believes some segments of the community overreacted when three people were killed due to gang-related violence.

The AG says he too met with FSM leaders to discuss the problems, noting, "There are admittedly some individuals who should be deported so we need to make sure that they know that the bad ones will be deported and the ones that are law abiding they'll stay here and work and thrive just like the rest of us."

Rapadas also touched on other initiatives at his office including ongoing efforts to establish the Guam Family Violence Registry Act, which, he says, would be the first in the nation.
