Progress seen in teacher contract negotiations

Guam - The Guam Education Board and the Guam Federation of Teachers are on their way to settling collective bargaining negotiations. According to Education Board member Barry Mead, the teams met Monday for the first time since the decision was made to extend the current contract.

Specific details of the negotiations cannot be disclosed, but Mead says he believes negotiations will be settled well before next year's August deadline.
