October is Respiratory Care Month

Guam - Local pharmacists were recognized this morning, as Acting Governor Ray Tenorio declared October as National Respiratory Care Month. Angela Gaminde is the chief respiratory therapist at the Guam Memorial Hospital and said, "The beginning of a school year is a prime indicator starting from September on we have higher incidents of kids getting sick because the back to school, so please take care of your kids and families, I have to push no smoking please and just overall care."

Gaminde adds more educational outreach will be performed throughout the week in the island's public and private schools.
