Guam - After of month of no progress, the Guam Education Board and the Guam Federation of Teachers are starting from scratch with collective bargaining negotiations. The board motioned to move the current contract's expiration from November 6 to August 2012 to give more time for negotiations as well as accommodate next school year.

GEB member Barry Mead says the teams met today and he is hopeful the board and the union will agree on a contract that benefits all parties involved without the assistance of a mediator.
