Guam - Hoping to attract more in the community to become homeowners, the Guam Association of Realtors announced its upcoming Housing Opportunity Forum. With home ownership on Guam one of the lowest in the nation, GAR executive officer Peggy Llagas says the forum hopes to provide the tools and knowledge to potential home buyers.

"There are no other individual that will provide them the experience and the expertise than the realtors that will be present that day, so every market is different, the Guam market is different and the Guam realtors is ready to assist the public with their home search and home buying," she said.

The event is made possible through a $50,000 Workforce Housing Grant. The forum will be held on October 29 at the Hyatt in Tumon. Experts with Guam Housing, GHURA and banks will also be present to speak about financial options.

More information can be found on GuamHousingPrograms.org. The website will be activated the day of the event.
