Guam - Thousands of residents dropped, covered, and held on for the island's largest earthquake drill hosted by the Guam Homeland Security Office of Civil Defense today. According to Juan M. Guerrero principal Darlene Larimer, the Great Guam Shakeout is a fun way for her students to learn what to do in emergency situations.

She said, "All it is is practice; we need to continue to ensure that our students know what to do in the event there is an emergency. We don't just practice inside, but we practice outside as well."

Larimer is proud to report that all 764 students were accounted for when classrooms were evacuated. For more information on how to prepare for emergency situations, visit www.guamhs.org
