Guam - A Department of Corrections officer has tested positive for narcotics. According to DOC spokesperson Lieutenant Antone Aguon the officer was tested, as part of random drug testing at the agency, which hadn't been conducted in ten years.  An internal affairs investigation has been launched.

"I'm not sure what he tested positive for, all I know is the right now we are working in accordance with DOA rules and regulations of the drug free workplace to take whatever action is necessary," he said.

Because of staff shortages the officer remains on the job at the Mangilao compound.
