Guam - Wanted in New Mexico for allegedly raping and kidnapping a female minor multiple times, Christopher Woodrome is now behind bars on Guam awaiting extradition. Woodrome was indicted in New Mexico in November of last year for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl repeatedly.

According to the New Mexico courts, a bench warrant and a $50,000 cash bond had been issued when Woodrome failed to appear for an arraignment in December of last year.  Last week prosecutors made a motion to increase the bond amount and change the extradition category as they had reason to believe that Woodrome had fled to Guam.

On Saturday the Guam Police Department confirmed the 30-year-old turned himself in to the Dededo Precinct.

He remains behind bars as the Attorney General's Office is waiting on paperwork from New Mexico to begin proceedings locally.
