Archdiocese mourns passing of Barcinas

Guam - Prayers are being said nightly for Deacon Jeff Barcinas, who died on Saturday in a California hospital. Barcinas is the former vice president of the university and community engagement for the University of Guam. After retiring from the Government of Guam, Barcinas was appointed to serve as the personal secretary to Archbishop Anthony Apuron. 

Beginning tonight, the Divine Mercy Chaplet will be prayed at 6pm followed by mass at the Cathedral-Basilica.  Funeral details will be announced at a later time.

Deacon Barcinas was 55 years old.
