We Are Guahan to host new hike series

Guam - Nå'i Tåtte, Chule' Tåtte (Chamorro for "give back, take back") is the latest in a series of hikes hosted by We Are Guahan. This Saturday the group will hike to Ague Cove where the Department of Defense is considering re-acquiring the area for new housing and administrative buildings related to the military buildup. Participants should meet at the former FAA housing area at 8:45 a.m.
On Sunday, October 30, a hike will be made to Hila'an Village where there are more than 70 latte throughout the area that was recently returned back to the government. Participants should meet at Tanguisson at 3:30pm. On Saturday, November 5th the group will hike to Pagat Point, where discussions will focus on the specific area where the DOD intends to build a firing range complex. Participants should meet at the Pagat Trail head at 8:45am.
Participants are asked to bring lots of water, sun block, bug repellant, snacks, tennis or hiking shoes, and comfortable clothing. Swimming is also encouraged at Ague Cove and Hila'an Village, but not at Pagat Point. For more information visit WeAreGuahan.com.
