Guam - Since the summer months, the Guam Customs and Quarantine Agency has seen at least a 10 percent increase in non-prohibited items being brought into Guam. Customs Spokesperson Lt. Ferdinand Soriano says agents at the airport have noticed passengers bringing in a lot more prohibited meats and poultry as well as trademark items and clothing. These are items he says that have all been seized and disposed of in recent weeks.
"This is only October, right now the holiday seasons are coming up so November, December expect significant rise," he noted. "Let the buyer beware, the stuff that you buy obviously if its Louis Vuitton coming in from like Philippines. You know, it's not the real thing, so if its quality that you want its not there."
