GEB, GFT making progress with negotiations

The Guam Education Board and the Guam Federation of Teachers are finally making progress with collective bargaining negotiations.

Guam - The Guam Education Board and the Guam Federation of Teachers are finally making progress with collective bargaining negotiations. According to GFT president Matt Rector, the union has agreed to use an assistant attorney general of the Board's choice to serve as a mediator for both parties.

The GFT has also agreed to allow the GEB to schedule the times and place for negotiations. Both parties have until November 6 to settle the contract that determines teacher working conditions.
