Guam - Jesse Jr. Castro Borja was sentenced to five years probation for being the getaway driver back in March. The 26-year-old pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact in relation to the attempted possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute. Borja drove Christopher Benavente and Laura Jean Fejerang to the Barrigada Post Office in March of this year where the two were going to pickup a package that contained the drug Ice.
When they realized they were under surveillance, Borja fled the scene, crashing into another car and leading authorities on a high speed chase all the way to Dededo. Borja faced a maximum sentence of ten years behind bars but was only given probation and a one hundred dollar fine.
He was also ordered to pay $8,600 in restitution for the damage and injuries he caused to the driver of the car he crashed into.
