Guam - More than 1,000 gallons of diesel fuel have been stolen at various Guam Power Authority emergency water well generator sites. The crimes are costing the utility agency authority big-time.

GPA spokesperson Art Perez said, "The money it cost to replace this fuel, $2,500 for each incident, but the water system diesel group can better spend those funds on maintenance parts or repair parts to keep these generators running so if you really think about its really a crime against he community and that's why we are seeking the public's help."

The thefts occurred at pump stations in Toto, Mangilao and Dededo. Anyone with information about these crimes please contact Guam Police or GPA's Revenue Protection Section at 648-3199. All calls will be kept confidential.
