Guam - Port Authority of Guam board chairman Dan Tydingco is still waiting on the official Department of Defense Inspector General report following last week's port briefing, which through the draft report revealed structural inadequacies and deficiencies with the port's water front facilities.

Tydingco says the port is currently determining if there is a need for a third-party or independent analysis, which may affect plans to move forward with the $50 million in DOD funding for the port modernization.

He adds that a scheduled conference call this week has been deferred and will occur in the next week or two following a meeting with several port stakeholders.
