Guam - The Guam Regional Transit Authority got an update on the procurement of new transit buses during their meeting Monday. According to acting general manager Felix Dungca, the technical specs they were waiting for shows the agency may be able to get 12 new buses at $70,000 each.

Dungca says the units will be purchased using federal funding, and will be fitted for all ADA riders.

In the meantime, the board also selected a new permanent general manager for the agency and is now awaiting the paperwork from BBMR. Dungca however could not release his name until the hiring process is complete.
