Guam - All stakeholders involved in the modernization of the Port Authority of Guam will be participating in a conference call with the Department of Defense's Office of Inspector General this coming week. An independent analysis of the port's waterfront properties is now being conducted after a draft release of an Inspector General audit found structural deficiencies with the port's wharf properties.

This comes as a blow to the port, which was planning to move forward in expending $50 million in available DOD funding for modernization. They'll now have to wait for the results from the independent analysis to determine how best to proceed.
