Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero has signed several more bills into law. The bills include a measure approving changes to the port modernization plan. It scales back the proposed port administration building project by renovating the existing building instead of constructing a new one.

It saves about $7 million to be used for more wharf repairs. The governor also signed into law a bill that establishes a pilot program in the schools for youth mental health first aid training.

Certain school staff will learn about ways to recognize and help prevent youth suicide. Also becoming law was a bill that transfers 1.5 acres of CHamoru Land Trust Land to the University of Guam to ensure that a UOG building is located completely within school property.
